Experience

Research Intern · IIT Bombay

Signal Processing, Biosignals, Embedded Systems

  • Built a multi-modal wearable biosignal acquisition system integrating EEG, ECG, IMU and SpO2 sensing for continuous health monitoring and early Parkinson's symptom screening.
  • Developed a modular ESP32 FreeRTOS firmware architecture for an industrial Digital Twin of a 5-axis CNC machine, integrating vibration, pressure, RFID, barcode, ultrasonic and environmental sensors with synchronized real-time MQTT telemetry for remote monitoring and predictive maintenance.

Embedded Systems Intern · Krishna Defence and Allied Industries

Zephyr RTOS, C, DW3000 / DWM3001C, UWB, SPI, BLE

  • Achieved 3 cm localization accuracy over a 28 × 15 m area using DS-TWR 2D trilateration on Qorvo's DWM3001C platform, establishing a baseline for a defense grade positioning system.
  • Built a custom Zephyr RTOS firmware architecture from scratch on the DW3000 platform to overcome vendor limitations (closed radio stack, 8-anchor cap), gaining direct control over packet timing, PHY config, and ranging protocols over SPI.
  • Achieved 5 cm ranging accuracy over a 5 × 5 × 5 m volume using custom DS-TWR 2D/3D firmware, and 10 cm inter-anchor TDoA accuracy by implementing wireless nanosecond-level clock synchronization across UWB nodes.

Projects

AURA

Ambient Backscatter Communication

  • Bouncing RF signals already in the air to carry data, with no new transmission needed. Guiding this ambient backscatter build end to end.

PlatyPulse

Wireless Tools

  • A pocket tool that sniffs, decodes, and replays IR, RF, and RFID signals on command. Mentoring the build.

Robo Atari

Reinforcement Learning

  • Training a policy in real time through direct trial-and-error interaction with the environment, rather than learning offline from a fixed set of demonstrations, so the agent improves continuously from the rewards it collects as it acts.

RF-Based Anti-Drone System — Smart India Hackathon 2025

HackRF, GNU Radio, ESP32, ESP-IDF, Python, SDR

  • Detected active drone communication links across a 200 MHz – 5 GHz band by implementing wideband RF scanning with RSSI-based signal analysis using HackRF and Python SDR tools.
  • Demonstrated a GNSS spoofing proof-of-concept and Wi-Fi jamming pipeline by building GNU Radio flowgraphs and ESP32-based nodes, validating feasibility for defense evaluation scenarios.

MARIO – ROS 2 Robotic Manipulator

ROS 2 Humble, micro-ROS, ESP32, ESP-IDF, Gazebo, RViz

  • Achieved full 3-DOF joint control over ROS 2 topics by developing micro-ROS firmware on ESP32 via ESP-IDF, bridging embedded hardware with a ROS 2 pub/sub architecture.
  • Cut physical hardware bring-up time by first validating forward/inverse kinematics (DH parameters) in Gazebo and RViz simulation, then deploying calibrated PWM motor control to SG90 and MG995 servos.

Ballerina Cappucina – Autonomous Omnidirectional Robot

Jetson Nano, ESP32, OpenCV, UART

  • Enabled real time vision-guided object collection by offloading color coded target detection to a Jetson Nano running OpenCV on Linux, while ESP32 handled motor control and drive actuation.
  • Achieved reliable sensor integration between compute and control layers by designing a communication protocol over UART between the Jetson Nano and ESP32, decoupling perception from actuation.
